Music is exciting at Abbott Loop School! We sing, move, use literature connections with songs and sound effects, work on
performing and concert etiquette through monthly Classroom Concerts, play unpitched percussion instruments, and share fun
times with each other as we work together as class teams to enrich our lives through musical activities. We may have classroom
musical guests who visit and share their musical experiences during the year.
We will be participating in grade level performances this year. 2nd and 3rd graders will have a performance on November 21st.
4th and 5th graders will have a performance on February 13th and kindergarten and 1st graders will perform on May 8th.
Our 6th graders have the opportunity to participate in band and orchestra classes 3 times a week, and will have performances
related to those classes, in addition to their performance for 6th grade recognition.
