JEAN PETERSON

A healthy welcome to all students, parents and staff! Mrs. Peterson has been the school nurse at Highland since it opened its doors. She had retired from ASD in 2002 after a career of school nursing, but that didn't last long! Highland Tech High presented a technology challenge, a standards based educational model, and 7th through 12th grade students!

Mrs. Peterson obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Montana State University before moving to Alaska. After being hired by ASD she met and married her husband and they have raised 3 children. She completed her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Portland.

Mrs. Peterson has an open door policy. Students, staff, parents are welcome without appointments at any time on the days she works (usually Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
