I am the special education department chair for Turnagain, Lake Hood, Northwood, and Willow Crest.
I come from a long line of Alaskans. My paternal
grandmother was born Juneau in the 1920's and both my parents were born and raised here in Anchorage. Because of my long standing connection to this state, I am very invested in Alaska's
future. I attended the Anchorage school district as a child. I left Alaska to attend college at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. In 2013 I completed my Masters degree in Special Education.
At the age of
five I knew that I would
dedicate my life to teaching. Teaching is a field that is constantly changing, which is why I have decided on some professional goals for myself. (1) Doctorate in Special Education Leadership (2) National Boards Certification
