Welcome to Williwaw Elementary School 2015/16 school year. I look forward to another year as your school nurse. My goal is to keep students and staff healthy, safe, and successful throughout the school year. Prior to the start of school, students should be current on
immunizations per Anchorage School District Policy and a copy of immunizations given to the school nurse. At the beginning of the year students in pre school, Kindergarten, first, third, and fifth grades will have health screenings(vision, hearing, height, and weight. If your student
did not pass anyof these screenings, a letter will be sent home for the family to follow up with the appropriate physician. In addition, you will receive a phone call from the nurse. It is so very important that students are able to see and hear in order to be successful in school. Other
clinics may be offered throughout the school year. In the past years, Williwaw students have been able to participate in Makar Eyecare Clinic and Frost Dental Clinic, with a signed parent/guardian consent form. These were offered during normal school hours.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your students health or safety, please feel free to contact or visit my office during school hours. I have included links to important forms for parents to print and complete if necessary, (medication, allergy, care plans) in my home page
window of 'classes.'
