I'm Ms. Hinkle. I started my career in outdoor education teaching in dynamic environments such as northern Wisconsin and Yosemite National Park. I spent my summers
traveling the lower 48 leading outdoor leadership and environmental educations courses for children 8-16. 11 years ago I found my home in Alaska. I worked in Special
Education in Homer while returning to school for my teaching credential. I did my student teaching here at Tyson and was truly blessed when offered a position here. I am
so fortunate to work in such a diverse and supporting environment. I am currently returning to college for my masters in education. I really enjoy creating a positive learning
environment and incorporating movement in the classroom to reach more learning styles. In the summers I work as a naturalist/tour guide for a small local company. I
enjoy spending as much time outside as I can and bringing those lessons back into the classroom.
