With Mac OS X, you can publish web pages or share files on the Internet—or on your company’s or school’s local area network—from a folder on your hard disk. You can display your documents on the Internet or restrict access to those within a local area network. Every Mac OS X user’s Home has a Sites folder. When web sharing is turned on, HTML documents in the Sites folder are automatically available to others on your network or the Internet.
