Adding Items to a Message

One of the best parts about Mac OS X Mail is that you can easily add pictures, movies, and other files to your email messages simply by dragging them into the message window. When the recipient receives the message, the file is displayed right in the body of the message, if the email program supports Rich Text Format messages. If the recipient’s email program does not support Rich Text Format, the attachment can be viewed with another application.

Another way to add items to Mail messages is to click the Attach icon in the message’s toolbar. If the recipient is also using Mac OS X Mail, he simply clicks the link to view the attachment, or drags it to the desktop. If the recipient is using a different email application, the file appears in the application’s attachments section.
