Using Categories to Organize Contacts

Over time, you’ll probably end up with many contacts stored in your Entourage address book. And you may find it tough to keep them all organized. One solution is to assign your contacts to categories (such as family, friends, and coworkers, for example). Entourage includes built-in categories, or you can create your own to match your specific needs.

One of the advantages of using categories is that you can “filter” your contacts; that is, view only those contacts in a category you choose. Categories are also color-coded, allowing you to quickly scan a large list of contacts.
