Editing Data in Cells

Because cells in an Excel worksheet can contain so many different types of data, you may decide at some point to change your data’s format. For example, you may want to clarify your plain numbers by changing them to the currency or date format.

Using the Formatting Palette is the easiest way to change how data is displayed.
