When you misspell words in a Word document, you’ll notice that they appear underlined in red. Clicking a misspelled word while holding down the Control key opens a pop-up menu that shows possible corrections. You may have spelled a word correctly, but notice that it is underlined in red. Why? If a word is not included in the standard Microsoft Word dictionary, it is recognized as a misspelling. You can easily add special words to the dictionary so that Word will not recognize them as misspellings. Simply click the word while holding down the Control key, and then choose Add from the pop-up menu that appears.
