Supplemental Education Services (SES)

A student who qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch and who attends an ASD Title I school that has not made Adequate Yearly Progress for two or more years may apply for the following free extra academic help.
SES schools for 2010-11: Airport Heights, Chinook, Clark Middle School, Fairview, Lake Otis, Mountain View, Muldoon, North Star, Ptarmigan, Russian Jack, Spring Hill, Taku, Tyson, Whaley, Williwaw, Willow Crest and Wonder Park

Supplemental Education Services is free tutoring that is scheduled outside of regular school hours.  SES is part of the federal Elementary Secondary Education Act.  Under this law, some students attending Title I schools may be eligible for SES.  Students must attend a school that has failed to reach a School Improvement Status of Level 2 or higher. If you choose to register your child in SES, you’ll get to choose the program that is best for your child’s needs.  There are a number of state-approved SES providers to pick from. Please use the links on this page to learn more about SES.
