Back to school
Even though the weather's beckoning us to play outside, it's time to return to the classroom. Registration for the new school year is going on now. Parents, have you filled out your Zangle forms? The Zangle form and other back-to-school information is on the asdk12.org Web site. Remember, two doses of the varicella vaccine are required for K-6 students this year. Is your student new to ASD? Check out our Newcomer's Guide.
Classes for students in grades two through 12 begin on August 19. Classes for students in kindergarten and first grade begin August 25.
We wish all our students a safe, happy and successful year.

ASD launches communications survey
How do you get your information?
We're seeking to improve our communications efforts and need your input. Please take our communications survey and ask your friends and colleagues to take it, too. The more input we have, the better we'll be at letting people know about district-related news and events.
Take the survey online. The survey is available until September 15, 2009, and takes five to ten minutes to complete.
Printed copies of the survey are also available at each school and at the ASD Education Center reception counter.
