Facebook
connection brings nearly $40,000 to ASD schools
|
|
Earlier this year, the Kids In Need
Foundation contacted Catholic Social Services via Facebook. Catholic Social Services put
them in contact with ASD's Migrant Education Department and Child in
Transition/Homeless Program. As a result, fourteen ASD schools with a high number of
low-income students will begin receiving
school supplies this week, totaling $37,448. This was KINF's first
donation within Alaska.
For more information on the foundation, log on
to www.kidsinneed.net or check out their Facebook page.
