District to hold budget dialogue workshops
ASD is actively soliciting feedback from the community on how to proceed with reductions that are needed for the 2011-12 budget. The district has contracted with Information Insights and Agnew::Beck to host a series of community dialogues in December 2010. The gatherings will be similar to the municipality's recent budget meetings.
Space is limited, so participants must RSVP. Please register onlineto let us know which of the scheduled community forums you'd like to attend. Once we receive your RSVP, we'll call or e-mail you to confirm your registration.
This week brought several days of hazardous road conditions and caused the district to use its two allotted "snow days" for the school year. With colder temperatures and snow returning shortly (we hope!), it's a good time for our annual winter weather reminders. Bundle Up It may seem like a no-brainer, but we see a lot of students coming to school without the proper winter clothing. Please make sure your children are dressed appropriately
Recess policy Elementary students will go outside for recess until the temperature or the wind chill factor reaches -10° F (ten degrees below zero). More on winter preparedness
