Transcripts/Student Records
Academic records for graduates are available from the registrar of the
graduating high school for two years following graduation. Records may
then be
obtained from Student Records. Academic transcripts
are maintained and released in compliance with the Family Educational
Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Business hours for Student Records are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday
- Friday. The office is closed during the week of July 4 and the week
between Christmas and New Year's.
Transcripts may be requested online, in-person, by mail, or telephone.
There is no charge for transcripts.

Online requests are limited to students who are currently enrolled
in or formerly attended ASD high schools or middle
schools and other students who have not attended
ASD schools for at least two years.
In-Person Requests
In-person requests may be submitted to Student Records at the above address
during the hours listed. Forms are available at the Student Records counter.
Forms must be fully completed. A valid Photo ID is also required.
Third Party Requests
Third party requests for transcripts must be accompanied by a written
authorization from the owner of the record specifically identifying that person
as their agent. This includes parents of students 18 and older who are no
longer attending ASD schools. The third party must present a photo ID as well.
Employers or other agencies requesting graduation or enrollment
information for a former student may fax the
following information to
ASD Student Records at (907) 742-4644:
- Name, address and telephone number of company or agency.
- Name
of student while in attendance and student's
date of birth.
- Information to be verified.
- Signed and dated information
release form from student.
Mail Requests
Please include the name(s) you used while attending ASD, the year of graduation,
the number of copies you are requesting, a daytime telephone number, where you
want the transcript sent.
Test Results
PSAT, SAT and ACT test scores are on the transcripts for some students,
but only if the student provided the school
with his/her correct social security number
and put the correct social security number
on the test at the time the test was taken.
Test scores are posted from a data file purchased
from the testing company, so there is no verification
all information is provided. There is no requirement
to maintain these scores. They are provided
as a convenience to the students.

Advanced Placement test scores are not included on the transcripts
as these records usually do not arrive at
the school until sometime after the student has
graduated. Scores may be obtained from the
counseling department at the high school for
the year following graduation or from
the testing company.
GED
The Anchorage School District does not have records of GED's. Students
who received their GED in Alaska may contact Jean Cariotti at the Alaska
Department of Labor and Work Force Development, P.O. Box 25509, Juneau,
