American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Section 619 of Title VI-B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) provides funds to states to supplement support for special education and related services for children aged 3 through 5 enrolled in preschool. Section 619 IDEA ARRA funds will help ensure that these children are provided special education and related services in compliance with federal law and regulations, and they will support:

• Preschool screening and assessment teams with purchases of additional scoring guidelines and booklets

• Teacher and teacher consultant training in Lindamood-Bell preschool strategies
