UAA/National Institutes of Health ARRA

Service High School has established an innovative Biomedical Sciences program as part of its Biomedical Career Academy. Through a partnership with UAA's Office of Health Program Development, Service is launching a biotechnology science research and STEM laboratory-based program at the school. The initiative has been funded by an ARRA grant to UAA from the National Institutes of Health. The current phase of the partnership, again funded by UAA's National Institutes of Health grant, will partially equip Service High School's Biomedical Sciences laboratory and make it possible to fund the second year of Project Lead the Way.
