My story does not begin with me. My mother’s family, mainly Polish farmers, settled in northern Wisconsin in the 1840’s. My father’s family, butchers and grocers, hailed from the Russian-Polish boundary. They moved to Milwaukee, WI, my hometown, in the 1900’s. Like my ancestors, I relish new beginnings. I have lived in Alaska since 1985. My first stop was in Juneau where I lived for three years. Teaching stints in Gambell, Napaskiak, and now, Anchorage followed. My 10-year old son keeps me busy with hockey, soccer, and football. I have taught at Clark Middle School since 1996, and am thrilled to teach such wonderful students.
