 Hello! My name is Don Cosgrove and I am a teacher, musician, performer, husband and father living right here in Anchorage. My wife is Kristin Cosgrove and our beautiful daughter is named Summer. I have been teaching music for over fifteen years and performing for longer than that. Originally from the Midwest, I have lived in Anchorage for eleven years. I enjoy teaching music and playing saxophones and clarinet, but I also play other instruments. Performing in bands and groups outside of the school setting is a regular part of my life; I am in a band called Nervis Rex and regularly play pick-up gigs with jazz groups, blues and rock bands, and even the local German band. When I am not teaching and/or playing, I occupy my time with family activities, spending time outdoors, and trying to be active playing basketball in the early mornings with co-workers.
