 My name is Dwight Killpatrick. I was raised in Alaska since 1952. I walked dirt trails and camped with my brothers in areas that are now highways and shopping malls. I have worked for the Anchorage School District for many years. I have tried to keep the buildings where I have worked in ship shape condition for the efficiency and safety of all who use the building as their school home. I have had assignments up until now in the elementary schools. I have enjoyed watching the children grow from kindergarten to 6th grade – to be Santa on the roof for the kindergartners then watch the same children graduate from 6th grade. Some of those children, from Chester Valley Elementary School, will be attending the new Begich Middle School. I feel fortunate now to be part of the team working in a well-built, brand new sparkling building, designed specifically for 6th to 8th grade students. I am very proud to be a part of the Nicholas Begich Middle School team in its new beginnings.
