 I am delighted to be a part of the Begich Middle School staff and I bring 16 years worth of experience in middle school libraries with me. My husband and I came to Alaska in 1977 and raised our two children here. I have a degree in Sociology and a minor in English Literature and I find the library a perfect place to apply my knowledge. In my school life and my private life, there is always a book close at hand. My favorite part of my job is selling kids on reading and encouraging them to be life long readers. After all my years of reading the kids books, I tend to be a walking library of information. My favorite request comes in the form of a story line and the person needing to know the name of the book and the author.
