What has been going on since December 2007? Why hasn’t there been any construction? When will construction start?
Construction work slowed down after all the slabs were finished in December 2007. There was a small work force on site over the winter getting ready for the next season. Steel for the building has arrived on site. Construction began again in February.

Where are Clark students currently located for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 school years?
Clark students have successfully transitioned to the following schools: Begich Middle School, Wendler Middle School, Central Middle School and Romig Middle School.
When will the school reopen?
Clark Middle School will officially reopen in the fall of 2009.
How many academic teams will Clark Middle School have?
Clark has the capacity to house nine academic teams. Each team will consist of rooms allocated for math, language arts, science, social studies, reading, ESL and special education classrooms.
What will happen to the athletic fields and basketball court?
The athletic fields are under redesign with the goal of maximizing space and improving quality. Repositioning of fields is being proposed along with a combined football/soccer field with a six-lane track and lights. The basketball courts will remain adjacent to the football field.
What will happen to the athletic fields during construction?
The existing athletic fields have been removed and the site is off limits to the public during the construction process. Once the new fields are finished and the site is safe they will be opened back up for public use.
