 My name is Michelle Barton and I am so excited to be teaching Business Technology at N. J. Begich Middle School this fall! I've been out of the classroom for three years, yet have enjoyed my present position as the Middle School Technology support teacher. It has been a wonderful opportunity to help teachers and administrators integrate technology in their classrooms and schools, yet I realized I was missing the chance to do these fun activities with students and decided to go back to where I belong…in the classroom. Prior to taking my three-year classroom hiatus, I was a language arts, reading, and multimedia teacher at Clark Middle School.
Aside from exploring my love for multimedia education and integration, my husband and I love to explore different parts of Alaska. In the last five years I've lived here, I have visited different parts of the state and found every trip to be unique and a beautiful experience. Learning about the people and events that make this state different from anywhere else in the U.S. is an opportunity I relish. I look forward to raising my kids here and watching the changes this town and state will endure for years to come. |
