 My name is Carolyn Butler and I will be the Bilingual Counselor at this new beautiful school! I am very excited to work with the students and families in our community. My first year as an ESL Counselor was last year at Clark Middle School. It was so incredible getting to know the students and seeing their process of learning a new language. There will be an outstanding ESL staff here to help our students and families!
When I'm not working as a Counselor, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our dog Riley and our cat Spider. I love skiing, hiking, soccer, and basically anything outdoors! I have been in Alaska for about 6 years and really enjoy being a part of this community. I grew up in Syracuse, NY and got my undergraduate degree at Syracuse University in 2000. I received my Master's degree in 2005 in School Counseling at UAA. I am very excited to be a part of the Begich staff.
