Administrative Assistant:
Elizabeth Hancock |
My name is Elizabeth
Hancock and I grew up in Anchorage, AK. My mother’s family is from King Island
and Shishmeraf and my biological father’s family is from Gambell. I have been
involved with ANCCS since we were writing our charter back in 2006 and have
called it home every since. I have three children, Garry who is currently in
high school, Ben who is a 4th grader and Abby who is in kindergarten.
My husband is Alaska Air National Guard, so we have the perks of military life
without having to worry about moving or deployments, due to the nature of his
job.
I joined the APC shortly
after starting volunteering in 2006, stepped down when I was hired as the
Administrative Assistant and was re-elected in the spring of 2009. I pretty much
eat, sleep and breathe school, but all of the smiling faces and success that
ANCCS has had, makes it totally worth it. When I am not working I love to
scrapbook, both traditional paper scrapbooking and digital scrapbooking. I also
make kuspuks, quilts and love to sew. I try to get my family outside as much as
I can, so we make a lot of day trips and camp when the weather is agreeable.
