Bartlett Ski Trail Map PDF (3.6megs)
The Bartlett Ski Team coaching staff is now offering the Bartlett Area Racing Training (BART) Project, a spring and summer training program for middle and high school aged athletes who want to develop their cross country ski racing skills. Applicants should have at least one season of experience racing on a middle or high school ski team and be interested in pursuing ski training as a year-round activity. While the coaching staff will focus on putting on practices that are fun and educational for the athletes, the kids must show up for each session prepared to take on the challenge of a consistent workout program. For information on joining the program, contact Tom through our Coach and Contact Info LInk at the left.

Some Details:
All Bartlett sessions meet at Relo 8 at the back of the east parking lot (past the theater).
For all sessions, have on hand clothing for spring weather; long workout pants, wind shells, light gloves.
Water bottles with water or sports drink are recommended for all workouts.
Helmets are required for all roller ski and bike workouts.
Proper skate ski boots and skate length ski poles are required for roller ski workouts. Classic or soft combi boots will not work well. Call Tom if you have questions.
Gloves are recommended for all roller ski and bike workouts.
In May, we’ll work on ski technique with low intensity roller ski workouts and start conditioning the higher intensity heart ranges once in a while by dropping in on local fun runs and orienteering meets. As Anchorage dries out, we’ll start meeting on a wider variety of trials for roller skiing, running, hiking, and ski bounding. We’ll also work on balance and core strength. It will be time to factor in some games too!
