Want to get involved? Bring a can or a few cans for the Can Food Drive that starts November 9 and will end November 23. Each can equals one spirit point, so you can help your class earn more points. Anytime during the day you may place your cans in the appropriate class box that will be posted in mainplace.

Quarters for Quilts. NHS members will be selling fleece blankets during lunch in Main Place this week to support the Quarters for Quilts project. We’ll be making fleece blankets for the AWAIC shelter in Anchorage. A warm, cozy blanket makes a treasured holiday gift. Thanks for your support.

Attention all students it’s time to start planning for the 11th Annual Trip to Grambling State University located in the northern part of Louisiana. This year’s 2009-10 Alaska Grambling Connection, Inc. programs are the All-Star Basketball camp(opened to boys & girls), Rod Broadway Football camp(opened to boys only), Volleyball camp(opened to girls only), and the High Ability Program(opened to junior boys & girls). If you have any questions please come by Ms. Taylor’s classroom 206 at the end of Yellow Hall.

Ms. Lantz is looking for any sophomores, juniors or seniors who are interested in working with elementary school students. Teen Mentors is a program that will link high school students with elementary school kids who need a little extra support in their lives. Teen mentors is a great way to earn community service work by helping students in need one hour a week. If you are interested please stop by Ms. Lantz room 404A for an application. Deadline for applications is due no later than Wednesday, November 25.
