2006-07 Allergies at School

We are a peanut and tree nut-reduced school, which means that hot lunch does not contain these items.  Your child may have these items in his or her lunch; however, it is imperative that students do not share food at school, as we have students with serious allergies. It is also requested that these items not be sent in for class snacks or parties.  Thank you for helping keep all of our children safe and healthy! The following classrooms have students with life-threatening allergies:

* A student in this classroom has celiac disease and all of their food is provided from home.  Please remind your children not to share any food in this classroom.

**A student in this classroom has allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, dairy, and corn.  Since it is impossible to eliminate all of these items from the school environment, all of this student’s food is provided from home and there are no snack exclusions at this time.

Latex

We have students in our school with life threatening sensitivity to latex. Our school is a “latex reduced” environment, which means that we minimize exposure to latex.  For instance, we use latex free gloves and we do not allow latex balloons in the building.
