Mrs. Doty
Physical Education
Welcome to a new and exciting
year of physical education at Chester Valley! We have many exciting
things planned for the 2000-2001 school year. Our highlight activities
include snowshoeing and snow carving
for the winter, Jump
Rope for Heart in
February, and Field
Day in the spring.
There have been many changes
in the program here, but we are all adjusting very well. We have
3 main goals set for this year:
Increase
our fitness level
Learn new and become
better at a variety of skills
Make responsible
choices while participating in physical activity.
To increase our fitness level
we all are working hard each time we come to PE class. Since
we only have PE two time per week, we will also be working on
this outside of school by participating in our choice of exercise
activities. The more we exercise, the better our fitness level
will be! Please join in and increase your fitness level too!
Throughout the year we will
be learning and practicing many different skills. These skills
are part of all different types of sport and physical activity.
We spend a short amount of time on each, then move on to something
new. Learning so many different things will help us stay active
as we get older, because we will have more knowledge to choose
from when we go out to do a physical activity.
Our third goal of making responsible
choices is a very important one. We are learning and practicing
good sportsmanship and behavior every day. By learning to make
responsible choices we make sure that everyone is included, is
having fun, and is exercising their right to learn to be active
and healthy.
Chester Valley physical education
class is a great place to be! If you have questions or would
like to volunteer your help please contact us!
