Hi, my name is Ms. Ward and I am new to Alaska. I am having fun with the students, and beginning to get to know them. The students are off and running in their academics challenges, and with enthusiasm.
They will be working on all of the core subjects that are required within the Anchorage School District. I will be following the State standards for the students in all of their subjects.

We do have homework every night (Monday - Thursday), but on Fridays I do not issue any homework. I have required them to read 20 - 30 minutes each night, along with their other home work.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year with this 5th grade class.
