Valentine's
Day Celebration, 2003 |
| Valentine's
Day at Chester Valley is a time to express affections and eat
sweets; to create art projects and eat more sweets. OK, so there
is a lot of sugar involved in the celebration of Valentine's
Day. In this respect, it differs little from other seasonal celebrations.
However, what Valentine's Day lacks in distinctive flair it more
than makes up for in continuity of color. In other words, Valentine's
day is about more than children eating sugar. It is about children
clad entirely in red eating sugar! |

Balloons
certainly provide an added sparkle to the celebration. It is
nice to see children making an association between balloons and
Valentine's Day at such early ages ;-) |
|
Art projects
help students and teachers express themselves on the occasion. |
 |
 |
| OK,
so maybe it all comes back to sweets. That's just fine, right? |
|

|
A sweet
tooth can be a happy tooth. |
|
Volunteers
in droves helped prepare Chester Valley for a day of festivities.
Long they spent, baking and buying and pouring and icing... For
what, you might ask? |
|
Of
course, kids of all ages celebrate Valentine's Day. |
 |
|
Even adults
celebrate Valentine's Day? Although this may surprise some, the
fact is the occasion provides an opportunity for everyone to
share peace, love and flowers. |
