The United States Air Force Band Visit

On November 14th the United States Air Force Brass Band performed for Chester Valley Elementary. The band marked the event by singin' and jammin'. Old favorites and patriotic melodies filled the gym all morning.

The singing and the horn playin' set the scene for a remarkable display of talent. It was bravo with a hint of staccato!

But wait... You say there was more to the show than just brass instruments? Yes, my friends, there was ever-so-much more than just brass. Although, if there had not been more, brass alone would have been stupendous.

Guitar playin' (of course, the guitar is sort of an off-brass color)...
Singin' (not even close to being brass, mind you)...

... And of course the customary pointing of fingers.

The teachers got all involved too. What, with the toe tappin' and the leg slappin' it looked awful fancy. And awful fancy it was.

Chester Valley is very grateful to the band and to the Air Force for their contribution to Chester Valley. Everyone at the school was impressed by just how sharp the band's playing was. Sharp, that is of course, except when the band was supposed to B-flat!
