Moseyin' For Macs

Please help us take the steps to improve Chester Valley's Technology Program

On April 26th, 2002 from 3:30-5:30PM Chester Valley Elementary School hosted a fund raiser. Our goal was to raise $5000 to improve the quality of resources available to every student. Moseyin' For Macs was a walk, which made a 3/4 mile loop around the surrounding neighborhood. The event was followed by hot dogs and veggy dogs. Participating students were asked to seek non door-to-door solicited financial pledges throughout the community to support Chester Valley and its technology program. Chester Valley Elementary accepted both flat and per lap pledges. The school used the proceeds from this event to purchase new technology.

Success! The funraiser went off smashingly! Through the wonderful efforts of Chester Valley's students, staff, community and PTA, the school raised enough money to purchase 15 new iMacs. Fifteen! Can you believe that?

Well, the school is unquestionably better off technologically than it was last year. However, there is still much work to be done. It is time to strap on some comfortable shoes and hit the streets again.

Chester Valley will host the Second Annual Moseyin' For Macs Friday, April 25th, 2003. With work, this year's fundraiser can help the school reach its fullest potential.

Wish us luck!
