Red Ribbon Week

Ah, yes, it is Red Ribbon Week again. As everyone may or may not know, Red Ribbon Week is a nationally-celebrated program aimed at stomping out the use of drugs in America. The goal of the program's organizers is to prevent drug abuse by teaching children to just say, "No!"

... And how do we at Chester Valley get the word out to the students? Well, there is definitely an assembly involved.

"Where did those groovy hats come from," you may ask?

Well what better way to educate than making stylish hats for, "Put a Cap on Drugs," day?

...Or by having a really big dog bite your arm?

Wooh now, that can not be right. Certainly one could make a joke about taking a bite out of crime, but such blatant bad-- bad humor has no place here!

"Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do..." Let's see that again!

OK, so maybe the next show is at ten.

...But that does not mean everyone else was ready to lie down!

Push ups? Flack Jackets? What kind of a strange PE class is this?

Though there were various activities, the students spent most of their time during their assemblies listening to a DEA agent who came to the school to speak about her chosen profession.

...And that was only the first day of Red Ribbon Week

Chester Valley would like to say a very special, "Thank you," to very special people without whom Red Ribbon Week would not be a smashing success. Thank you, thank you and thank you again Jennifer and Randy Hughes for your continuing-generous support!
