Chester Valley Elementary is delighted to welcome back its students for another year of education and adventure. There is much to be learned and many adventures ahead; it all begins with the welcome back picnic.

The back to school picnic is all about meeting new teachers, old friends and eating some dogs. It is a Chester Valley tradition to start the school year out with food, folks and fun.

The picnic provides a wonderful opportunity for parents to meet other members of the community, including the Chester Valley Parent Teacher Association. Yes, the CV PTA is an active assortment of individuals who make real positive improvements to the school and the community.

...And the teachers. Did I mention the teachers? The welcome back picnic is an opportunity for parents to meet with the the adults who will steer the course of their children's academic lives for the next year. It is also, in turn, a chance for teachers to meet the adults who take care of Chester Valley's wonderful students both before and after the school day.

As we ease our way into the 180 day school year, it is important to step back and remember what It is all about...

Today's students are tomorrow's adults. They are tomorrows teachers; they are tomorrow's parents and they are tomorrow's leaders. What kind of tomorrow do we want? Do we want our children's tomorrow to be better than their today? How do we best foster success? Again, it all begins with the welcome back picnic.

Welcome back! Chester Valley is very happy to have you all.
