Upper Grade supplies should include:

A pair of gym shoes to be kept at school 3-4 lined notebooks, (not spiral, composition books are best, usually sold at Office Max in packs of 3 for $2.97; socalled "Neatbooks" fall apart easily as do the "Advance" composition books with colorful plastic covers, which separate quickly from their cardstock backing) 1 quadrille notebook/pad for Math watercolor markers (thick and thin), and/or colored pencils a good pair of scissors pens & pencils (if mechanical, please have a supply of extra leads, if traditional, you may want a small pencil sharpener; pens for writing should be blue or black, not fancy, hard-to-read colors) glue sticks, a three-ring binder/organizer and a set of dividers to organize your work a set of good watercolor paints and a watercolor pad; (a good watercolor brush would be nice) a set of highlighters (4 colors - used for math) a ruler (preferably with metric and standard measurements; wood with a metal edge is good) a calculator (comparable to Texas Instruments Math Explorer which we use in class) a protractor (a plain clear one works better than the fancy opaque ones) a compass (cheap ones are frustrating to use and break easily; this is a piece of equipment that will be used for years and you may want to spend a little more for a good one.) a system for organizing the above (box, pouch, etc.) boxes should not be wider than 11" and higher than 2 1/2 "

All of the above should be clearly labeled with your name. For the classroom we need boxes of Kleenex, colorful contact paper, ziploc bags in both small and large sizes. Please bring in one or two of these items.
