READ: Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation by Joseph J. Ellis (ISBN 0375705244)

WRITTEN WORK: To be turned in by Friday, August 21; Written work should be typed, double spaced, with one inch margins. Put your name in the header.

• Preface: Write a 50 word précis of the preface. (According to Merriam-Webster, a précis is a concise summary of essential points, statements, or facts.)

• Chapters: For EACH chapter write a 50 word explanation of the EFFECT (of the events) on the developing history of the United States. This may require additional research into events that took place later in American history.

FINAL SUBMISSION: Assignment should be 7 parts: Preface and Chapters 1 through 6.

Understand that the expectation is that you read the book for knowledge and understanding including the impact on American History. You will have a test and an essay attached to this reading assignment after the school year begins.
