NEW NEWS:

Positive Assets Through Action Committee would like to share the following asset theme for the month of May: Conflict Resolution - to peacefully end conflicts.  We suggest you ask the source of a conflict for the full story behind the issue.

Today is Senior Fun Day.

Chugiak Students:

Most of you have probably heard that the students involved in the senior “prank” at Service have been suspended, charged, and will not be participating in their graduation. This “prank” damaged school property and impacted many ASD employees who had to clean up and assess the damages estimated at over $1500.00.

Chugiak administration and staff strongly urge you not participate in end-of–year pranks. Often, students’ definition of a prank and the school’s definition vary.  A good rule of thumb is if you have to ask an adult, “What if . . .” you should not do it.  We would like to see all our students walk with their class, and for those who are not seniors, we would like to see you start next school year suspension-free.

Making poor choices will cost your dearly.  Seniors, it will affect your participation in your graduation ceremony, and if severe, can lead to expulsion as well.  Under classmen, remember that if you are suspended, that suspension carries over into the next school year or can lead to an expulsion.       MARSHALL
