All students wishing to take the written portion of the Life Time Personal Fitness test need to get signed up with their counselor ASAP.  The test will be given Wednesday November 18th in the Library computer lab at 2:00 PM.  Bring a picture ID to the test.        SCHROEDER

 

 

If you are interested in traveling to France and Spain in 2011 here's some good news!  Enroll before Dec. 15th and get the early enrollment discount. Save $200.00 on the trip!  Reminder:  first trip meeting is Nov. 18th at  6:30 PM in room 114 (art room).                     BARRETT

 

 

 

Key Club announces a party!  Please come help make Christmas stockings for the less fortunate.  It's after 2:00 pm tomorrow so come enjoy cookies and treats while volunteering for a wonderful cause.  You don't have to be an artist to turn out stockings with Christmas cheer.  Come to Room 11 between 2:10 and approximately 4:00 p.m. TOMORROW.        LaRue/Cook

Next ID card makeup day – This Thursday, Nov. 12th

 

 

Basketball cheer practice starts TONIGHT from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.  Have all your paperwork turned into Mrs. Huffer in the activities office before tonight.             HUFFER

 

 

Opera tickets are available on a very limited basis in room 182 to CHS students who would like to attend Thursday evening's performance. Thanks to Torrie Allen, Director of the Anchorage Opera, for this donation as part of our new school business partnership.             EKBERG-BROWN

Hampshire College is a private liberal arts college in Western Massachusetts.  The school’s Global Education Office gives students the opportunity to study abroad in more than 30 countries each year. Students pick from a variety of year, semester, and short-term programs across 6 continents, or they design their own field study experiences to best fit their academic goals. A few of the areas of study offered are International Relations, Journalism, Animal Behavior, Animation and Digital Art, Dance, Health/Premedical Studies, Neuroscience, Mathematics, Psychology and many more.  Come sit in on the discussion about the college on November 12, Period 6 in the Library Conference Room.  Get a pass to attend in the CRC.             DIXON

 

 

The University of Alaska Fairbanks admissions counselor will be visiting our school along with the recruiter for the College of Engineering and Mines and a person from Alaska Sea Grant.  Mark your calendar for November 17, Period 6 to sit in on the information session in the Library conference room.   Come and learn about financial aid, classes, admission requirements and much more!  Get a pass to attend in the CRC.          DIXON

 

 

Reminder: The Application deadline for second semester Gifted Mentorship placements is Monday, Nov. 16.  We already have training sessions scheduled for early December.
