Middle school students may participate in interscholastic and intramural athletics and a variety of academic and recreational activities. Students who would like to participate in interscholastic and intramural sports must:
CONCUSSION INFORMATION - Alaska law requires school districts to have a program for the prevention and management of concussions in student athletes. Click here to see the documents for an overview of ASD's program, concussion information, required forms and more.
In addition, students who participate in interscholastic sports must pay a $110.00 participation fee per sport, or be eligible for a sports fee waiver, or meet the $390 family cap for middle school and high school sports fees.
A $5 concussion baseline fee is required (no waivers).
Online payment of fees can be made using the Zangle Parent information system.
In order to practice or play in a game, a student must be in attendance at school a minimum of one-half day, except for extenuating circumstances (such as a school field trip) approved by an administrator.
2014-15 Interscholastic Schedule
Intramural sports participants do not travel to other schools. This means they learn and compete with one another in after-school play at Clark Middle School.
