Dimond High School is divided into four academic houses to provide a more personalized learning experience for students. Each house has students and teachers assigned to it, as well as a member of the security staff and an administrator. The Freshman House (2B) provides unique learning opportunities for 9th graders in an effort to assist their transition into high school. Each of the other houses (1A, 1B, and 2A) serve 10th-12th graders. Students assigned to these houses typically receive their language arts and social studies instruction from teachers in that house; other instruction may be provided outside the house.
