ASD A-V Collection The Anchorage School District's collection of videos, DVDs, and other audio and visual materials. Search the database easily, anonymously, and any time. To order, you need to register name, school, etc. Client number is last six digits of SSN; initial password is school phone number, then you'll have to change it. To order, you need a show date at least 7 days ahead (call 742-6000 if needed earlier). In catalog, click on pick for an item; it will show up on order form. Then fiddle with dates using data wells--a pop-up calendar is available. To cancel, go into Options.

Needle in a Cyberstack – the InfoFinder This privately owned and run site is aimed at teachers and students. Has numerous categories of sites often not duplicated in other collective sites.
Educator’s Reference Desk Has lesson plans, resource guides, links to other teacher support sites. Includes most of the resources which used to be found in AskERIC and ERIC/IT, sites which are no longer functional.
ERIC—Educational Resources Information Center A government site with a huge database of professional journals and other resources related to education.
Filimentality This teacher tool helps a user set up a web net related to a topic, create activities, and devise lessons.
The Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM) A consortium site leading to thousands of educational resources—federal, state, university, nonprofit, commercial—from all over the Internet.
