Parents need to know how their student(s) are progressing in their classes. We at East Anchorage High School wish to support this effort.
The Anchorage School District requires that teachers inform parents about student progress eight times during the year: mid quarter, quarter, semester during the year. All teachers comply with this request, but the advent of electronic gradebooks has dramatically enhanced the teachers' ability to provide this crucial feedback. Teachers are not required to provide this information, and do so as a service to our community. The choice of whether to provide this information, and how often to provide it, is completely the prerogative of the teacher.
We offer two different ways for you, as parents/guardians, to access the grade reports of your student(s). Again, either of these methods is available only if the teacher provides this service.
To determine if your son/daughter's teacher provides these two services, click on this link that will take you to the "Communicate with Teachers" page.
1. Posted grades. These grades are accessible with the student's name and ASD-generated password. For complete directions for use, click here. Only your child's teacher knows your child's password.
2. Receive grades via email. Parents MUST have completed a form (available here) to receive this email. The schedule for email can be negotiated with each teacher.
