Important Information About Technology at East

Student Internet Use Agreement & BYOD Policy

All students must have a signed copy of the Student Internet Use Agreement on file with the District in order to use the District network and computer equipment. Please carefully review the Internet Use Agreement - you are responsible for following it!

East is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school. Please review the BYOD guidelines for East and check with your instructor for their policies.

Violations of the Internet Use Agreement

Violations of the Internet Use Agreement include (but are not limited to): using proxies to bypass the web filter, sending inappropriate or harassing emails, installing spyware or other harmful programs on District computers, plugging unapproved devices into the network, and using another person's login ID.

You can be suspended or expelled for violating the Internet Use Agreement. Be responsible and use your computer priveleges wisely!

Cyberbullying

"Cyberbullying" is, by definition, when a young person is being harassed and bullied using the Internet or other digital technologies. (For example: posting insulting or untrue information on social networking sites, sending threatening or insulting emails or text messages, etc.) As with other forms of bullying, cyberbullying is NOT tolerated at East, and disciplinary consequences will be severe.

No one deserves to be bullied. If you or someone you know is the victim of cyberbullying, please inform a trusted adult (parent, teacher, Security staff) immediately!
