The alternative program, EWE, is designed to meet the educational and cultural needs of Alaska Native and American Indian students. Teachers provide academic instruction in small personalized groups. The instruction is based on the specific needs of individual students. Student responsibility, extensive community involvement, independent study courses, and cooperative learning are emphasized.
