Bullies and
Your Child
Bullying is an unfortunate
part of childhood for many
students. Many parents may
not realize their child is being
bullied or IS a bully. We
have a couple of Tip Sheets from
the US Health Resources and
Services Administration to give
you clues on what to look for
and how to react if you think a
bully may be bothering your
child.
They have much more
information on their web site
for both students and adults at
http://www.stopbullyingnow.hrsa.gov/adults/default.aspx

Goldenview's
latest newsletter
is now available
on line.
See the "School
Newsletter" link to your left,
just under the Sun!!

If you haven't joined PTSA yet,
it's not too late!!
Consider being a volunteer.
You get a much better feel for
the school if you're here during
the day seeing what happens.
And your work helps fill the gap
for all kinds of things that
make it a better school.

Technology
Donations!
Goldenview
makes wide use of a number of
donated items, and needs more.
If you
find you no longer need that
"small" LCD computer monitor or
"old" flat panel television,
Goldenview may be able to make
use of it.
We're
also looking for good quality
computer sound systems and a
small number of "living room
quality" stereo systems.
We want to install a high
fidelity system to listen and
record music in all three of our
music rooms, and are looking for
components, complete systems, or
cabinets to hold them.
Some good sets of speakers are
especially needed. Size is not
an issue.
We could
also use older digital cameras
and hand cams for a number of
activities. Scanners that
work with Windows XP or Mac OS X
are needed.
If you have any technology
that you think might have
educational use, please call Mr.
Holleman at 742-8230. Much
of the technology you see at
Goldenview was a donation of one
sort or another, and has added
greatly to what we're able to
do.
Please note:
during the summer my response to
phone calls is very slow, but I
check email almost every day.
If you have items you think we
could use please email me at
holleman_andy@asdk12.org and
I will be back in touch.
Thank you.
