ART
from Goldenview Middle
School
These photos are of
Goldenview ART students’
work which was – and
possibly still is – on
display. The Plaster Gauze
Masks will continue to hang
at Great Harvest Bakery in
the Metro Mall on Benson
Boulevard across from the
Sears Mall until May 15th.
Second semester ART students
all made these on each
others’ faces during the
third quarter. They then
painted, decorated,
varnished, and wired them
for display. The variety
and creativity is remarkable
and makes a beautiful mosaic
of color, shapes, and
textures.
The individual pieces are
the Youth ART Month pieces
which were on display at the
Anchorage Museum of History
and ART during March – both
in 2008 and 2007. Every
school in the district is
represented with their best
work – in every media.
Goldenview is allowed 10
individual pieces and one
“Special Topic” themed
piece.
Try to take advantage of
viewing these great shows
and compliment the students
whose work you recognize.
The other reason to take
advantage of the Great
Harvest show is the free
bread. Everyone who enters
the door is offered a free
slice of delicious bread.
