Contact Alaska State Legislature:

What you can do to help our middle schools.

1) Contact the Alaska Legislature. Tell them we need more funding for education, and tell them how the middle schools have made a positive difference to your family. Emphasize your family’s experience in particular. They need to hear from individuals.

Easiest and most effective way is to go to this website and send a public opinion message:          www.legis.state.ak.us/poms

You may send one to all legislators, or you may send to those that represent your community. See list below to find out who your representatives are:

2)      Contact the School District: Let them know that, if they receive more funding, they should make middle schools their first priority. Again, tell them how the middle schools have benefitted your family in particular. They need to hear real stories from real citizens!

3)      Contact U.S. representatives: Tell them to support public education, to support legislation that helps our teachers and our schools.

4)      Contact the governor: Tell him we need more funds for public education. Again, relate your family’s benefits from the middle schools.
