My name is Nancy Brady, and I am the ART teacher at Goldenview Middle School. I have a Bachelors Degree in ART, with a minor in Secondary Education, and a Masters Degree in Special Education. The ART classes at Goldenview cover drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. They are all semester length, and there is a two year rotating curriculum. This allows students to take ART more than one semester without repeating any of the same units, except Clay. Each semester approximately half of one quarter is spent working in the clay studio. The attached photos are of student artwork on display both at school, the Anchorage Museum, and at Great Harvest Bakery. Goldenview’s ART Room is located in the southeast corner of the upper level.
