Body/Fender Repair

1 semester. May be taken 4 times with a grade of “C” or better to advance. Grade level 11-12.

Students in Body/Fender will learn metal straightening, plastic filler application, body panel replacement, sectioning, minor frame repair, auto body alignment and glass replace­ment. Shop refinish practices include surface preparation, mixing and applying paint, complete vehicle refinishing and blending. Second through fourth semester students will be expected to complete course work and projects at an advanced level and to demonstrate competencies in skill areas not covered in the previous semesters. Qualified advanced students may be eligible for OJT in the third and fourth semesters.

Students must purchase safety glasses.
